Two shot, one dead in the city of Castries

Police are investigating a deadly shooting which occurred in the city of Castries at the Derek Walcott Square at about 2:30 pm.

According to reports, gunmen approached to males and opened fire in their direction. This shooting incident sent shockwaves throughout the city. People in the area scrambling for cover as the sound of gunshots were heard.

One male died on the scene and another was rushed to hospital. His condition is unknown at this time. Several videos were posted on social media showing the two men on the ground sat the square.
