Update: Castries Shooting

Law enforcement officials have confirmed that one man is dead and at least four other people injured, including a child, during a shooting incident on Peynier Street in Castries on Tuesday afternoon, May 29, 2018.
The incident occurred between 3:30 p.m. and 4 p.m. in the vicinity of the CDC apartments.
According to police a masked man was shot by police.
An audio recording of a male voice has surfaced on social media indicating that the shootings are gang-related, between factions from Vieux Fort and Castries.
It stated: “Yea boy. Couple man from Vieux Fort and thing I hear that come and roll on Castries man and Castries man was waiting for them already, so exchange of (gun) fire and couple Vieux Fort man get shot. All kinda ting. One ah them get six shots, one in his head, one in his chest, one in his balls…”
