Vieux Fort Fire Station Responds to Bush Fire Threat, Establishes Control Measures

On Saturday, April 6th, the Vieux Fort Fire Station received a call at 4:05 PM, reporting a bush fire in Vieux Fort. When the fire suppression crew arrived on the scene, they discovered that the fire was located in an inaccessible area. After a thorough assessment of the scene, it was determined that the fire did not pose an immediate threat to any life or property. However, to minimize any potential damage to nearby
properties or lives, the crew established a fire barrier using water from an appliance. The fire was monitored and controlled for several hours, and the crew left the scene around 10:00 PM.
