WHTS: Three Month Workshop on Cyber Security

On the heels of the official completion of White Hat Technology Solution’s Youth Cyber Safety Bootcamp, registration is already on the way for the company’s three month Virtual Workshop on An Introduction to Cyber Security. The workshop supports the mandate to provide training and create a pool of professionals who can meet the for the demand for cyber security services by some 31% within the next 10 year

Already five participants have automatically been enrolled in the course, who were attendees of the Bootcamp, each awarded a scholarship from respective sponsors. The sponsors are namely Grow Resources, Tech Beach, Caribbean Association of Banks, Alliance One Management Consulting and White Hat Technology Solutions itself. To be eligible for a scholarship, participants had to be write an essay on ‘Why are Cyber Security Professionals Important to the Caribbean?’ and submit with their resume.

The course is slated to be facilitated not just for Saint Lucians but for those interested in the wider region with guest Instructors originating from the Caribbean and Internationally. The classes will be scheduled twice a week for three months. The course is expected to expose participants to internships and other relevant networking that will assist with career development. Most importantly all participants will be eligible for a full scholarship to complete certification in Cerified Ethical Hacker (CEH) with the EC Council.
