Woman Found Dead at Home in Balata, Babonneau Ahead of Doctor's Appointment

Tragedy struck in Balata, Babonneau on Tuesday morning as Gertrude Demille, a resident of the area, was discovered deceased at her home just hours before she was scheduled to see her doctor. According to family members, the late Gertrude had been battling illness for some time, prompting frequent medical visits.

Her husband, Simeon Demille, recounted the events leading up to the tragic discovery, mentioning that he had taken his wife to Tapion Hospital the day before to collect her prescribed medications. He further explained that Gertrude had spent the previous day watching cricket on television and enjoying a meal of fish and rice that he had prepared. However, upon his return from work on Tuesday morning, he found his wife lifeless in their bedroom.

Expressing their shock and grief, family members revealed that Gertrude had been unresponsive when they attempted to contact her for their planned trip to the doctor.
