Woman Hospitalized After Hotel Kitchen Fire in Vieux Fort

A 33-year-old woman sustained burns to her face, back, arms, and legs following a kitchen fire at a hotel in Vieux Fort on Sunday morning.

According to a Saint Lucia Fire Service (SLFS) release, emergency personnel from the Vieux Fort and Crash Fire Stations responded to the scene after receiving a distress call at around 5:58 am.

Upon arrival, firefighters administered emergency care to the injured woman and transported her to a medical facility for further treatment.

The SLFS responders were able to contain and extinguish the kitchen fire. The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
