Woman injured in Vieux Fort accident

Emergency officers responded to a road accident in Vieux Fort  town at 10:50 am.

According to reports the female individual sustained trauma to her legs.

She was fully immobilized by the officers and then transferred to an ambulance. Thereafter she was provided rapid emergency transportation to the St. Jude Hospital for further care.

Several videos were posted on social media showing the accident scene.

The female individual was laying on her back with what appears to be a severely broken leg.
